This forum is new - completely new in fact! I made it today - but I have plans for it. Big, big plans. Wanna hear those plans? Stick around.
I used to be a member of a wonderful Sims 2 writing forum, it was amazing, but sadly it seems to have been shut down (cue sad faces).
Which is why I've made the Scribble Hut. It's a place for Simmers, Writers and Writers who Sim and encorporate their writing into the sims to come, hang out and just... enjoy the company of likeminded people.
My plans for the future include a few things:
2) More games. Maybe model competitions or writing ones. Maybe prompt challenges. Maybe just forum games.
3) A roleplay. I would love to see a big roleplay on this forum. Something for all the members to get involved in. I'll need plot ideas, though, and things to get us started.
4) Stories posted directly onto the forum. I think this'd be nice. That's all really.
5) A place to trade things we make for our stories. For example, I make poseboxes and will probably make one for my current story when I need certain poses. When I've got a bunch, I could share them for other storywriters to use. Same goes for clothes, accessories and so on. Obviously optional.
6) A merit system. It'd be nice for us to be able to earn credits to "spend" on things. I don't know much right now, but it's an idea.
7) Genre lounges. Just, in general, if we get enough writers, somewhere for people who stick to particular genres to hang out.
8) Houses! Maybe less Harry Potter-y but to introduce an element of competition in some way relating to writing, roleplaying or gaming. Just a thought.
9) Legacies. Somewhere to compare notes, show off, say how well you've been doing etc. If there's enough interest.
10) What else?
[/ul]
Tell me your thoughts and ideas. Tell me what you think of each of these. Any you'd be particularly interested in? Any you think are a bad idea? Give me your reasons. All opinions are welcome, as are new ideas to add to the pot.
