I just got Generations in the post and I'm waiting for my stuff to back up before I install, so I gotta ask those who already have it: What are your first impressions?!

I like it so far! Especially what the teens get to do now -- with dating, and prom, and the teen parties. I haven't played very much so far, though.

I haven't played much either so far. I've made a sim!me, who married a sim called Marc. And now they've got a baby and sim!me is pregnant. I'm looking forward to playing more.
I hate - HATE HATE HATE - the extra days off, though. She's got SEVEN DAYS OFF coming up. I don't see her ever working again because she wants to have five kids. By the time all those days add up she'll be dead.

There are extra days?! Fortunately, when you are a detective that doesn't count. But... damn. That really blows. >:c

Yeah, it does.
So far, I've had some weird things happen with Generations, tho. For example, my sim decided to randomly accuse her husband of cheating. I couldn't cancel the interaction. Then - ages later after working really hard to rebuild their relationship - she randomly decided to break up with him. It came up with a message and everything, something along the lines of, "Sim!me has decided she doesn't want to work at her relationship anymore and has broken up with Marc."
I was not best pleased. So, be careful of autonomous plot-screwage.
I also had a teenager grounded and when they went to school they got scolded >.>

I don't know. All I know is that she went to school, came back home on the bus and Marc went rushing outside to scold her. "You're GROUNDED!" She was already grounded, but whatever.
